People are at the very heart of everything we do, from how we design and develop buildings, creating green space and recreational areas, to sympathetically incorporating decked underground car parking. The well-being and health of the people that use our spaces is what drives us to consistently design and deliver buildings and environments where people can thrive.
Over the course of our 25 years in Leeds we have invested over £100 million into making White Rose Park a place where business and human well-being compliment one another. We’ve forged academia and business together on the park to create an effective place to work and learn, combining the key ingredients to create a place where talent is nurtured and work is aspirational.
Innovation has long been a part of the fabric that makes up the White Rose Park and will form the thread upon which the future of the Park will be cut. As we emerge from the 2020 pandemic and look to a future in the new normal, we must champion innovation to drive our local economy and that of the UK. First Direct, Systime, DAZN have been supported in their growth and we will continue to cultivate and promote an environment where innovation and collaboration can thrive.
As part of the MIT REAP team we are championing innovation and entrepreneurship in the Leeds City Region; and our plans for the Leeds Smart Cities Innovation Centre will create a living lab at the White Rose Park, where innovations to solve city-wide problems can be tested prior to wider deployment for the benefit of the people.
Building strong partnerships and advocating collaboration have been the cornerstone of our ethos since day one. We don’t just believe we’re stronger together, we know it, and we promote the power of collaboration across relationships right through our organisation. We’re working with our tenants to help get them back to their spaces safely and creating innovative leases more akin to the new normal.
Nowhere is the strength of collaboration more evident than in our White Rose railway station project. A collaborative private and public sector approach with Network Rail, Leeds City Council, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and ourselves is delivering key infrastructure project in a unique and accelerated way, being held as a vanguard for how future projects of this type can be delivered.
